1-3 years related experience in graphic design
Proficiency in Adobe Suite, especially Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, and InDesign
Able to graciously give and receive creative feedback
Excellent visual design and typography skills
Enthusiasm for learning and expanding design proficiencies
Prioritizes time well and has excellent time management skills
Extraordinary drive to do things well and efficiently
Takes direction well and proactively anticipates needs
Outstanding critical-thinking skills, and is a quick learner
Is detail-oriented and a great note taker
Works well in a collaborative setting
Able to communicate clearly and is not afraid of asking questions or following up to keep projects moving
Is deadline driven and available during occasional irregular hours (evenings and weekends)
Works well under pressure
A passion for progressive change and digital media
Why you should apply: As a Design Assistant, you will be a critical part of the team running the day-to-day operations of design projects. Typical duties for this position will include:
Assisting in the production and design of creative content, including social media shareables, banner ads, and motion graphics
Managing internal and client-facing creative archives
Selecting, purchasing, and organizing stock images, video, and music
Preparing assets for design; may include color-correction, clipping and masking photos, typesetting, etc.
Tracking project deliverables, dates, and deadlines and keeping up with ever-changing project scopes and schedules
Proactively managing multiple tasks and projects of varying sizes, following up as needed
Staying up-to-date with industry design standards and trends
Working in political campaigns and other fast-paced marketing settings
Communicating directly with internal team members to ensure that creative needs are met
This will be a full-time, exempt position. This position is limited duration, running through the November 2020 Election. Those interested in gaining experience in a fast-paced agency setting are encouraged to apply. The starting salary range is $38,000 - $45,000, based on experience.
