Winning Mark is a progressive political consulting and advocacy firm that works in all media, with a particular emphasis on cutting-edge digital strategies. We are based in Portland, Oregon, and our work is national, regional and local in scope. We are working on projects including advocacy for public lands, river protection, forest policy and other Western conservation issues; public information and advocacy on revenue, labor, climate change and a variety of other candidate and ballot measures.
Who we are looking for:
Winning Mark is seeking an exceptional Digital Operations Manager with at least three years of similar experience.
The Digital Operations Manager is responsible for the overall work product of a digital operations team that manages multi-channel media plans oriented toward client objectives: launching ad campaigns on tight timelines, recommending and making adjustments to optimize media plans when dynamics shift and going above-and-beyond to exceed campaign goals.
This full-time Digital Operations Manager position is primarily responsible for:
Overseeing a team of digital operations specialists including management, training, development and recruiting
Managing the development and execution of multi-channel online advertising campaigns
Refining best practices for planning, buying and optimizing programmatic digital media
Researching -- and finding opportunities to leverage -- the best digital marketing strategies and tools
Building and maintaining strong relationships with platforms and buyers
Maintaining budget oversight for multi-million dollar paid digital media programs
The ideal candidate has strong experience managing the execution of day-to-day digital ad operations tasks in a fast-paced environment and the strong communication skills necessary to instruct and manage a team in those core responsibilities. This position requires a detail-oriented individual who can oversee quality assurance on all digital campaigns, refining systems for catching errors before ads launch and refining procedures to minimize the potential for mistakes.
Responsibilities and Duties
Interfaces with Winning Mark team members to develop multi-channel campaigns to persuade and convert target audiences across all paid media (social, video, search, display, audio, etc.)
Launches and manages advertising campaigns, actively optimizing, tracking spend and reporting results to the broader Winning Mark team
Translates data/insights into weekly reports and summaries
Uses Basecamp to manage Digital Operations Specialists in the completion of deliverables related to digital campaigns
Tracks expenditures from vendors and ad platforms against campaign budgets
Oversees the creation of client-facing reports in the appropriate format using basic software; reviews reports ensuring accuracy and completeness; identifies issues with report generation (e.g., missing key performance indicators, incorrect data, etc.)
Develops a system to monitor opposition digital campaign spending/strategy and creates summary reports for Winning Mark team/client
Works closely with internal departments and external partners to ensure that appropriate materials (creative, tags, budgets, etc.) are received and/or distributed correctly
The right candidate must have the following qualifications and experience:
Experience managing a digital advertising team
Extensive track record providing digital media plans for clients utilizing Google, Facebook, Twitter
Strong experience implementing advertising operations
This will be a full-time position, and start date is dependent on availability but may begin as early as May. Compensation is dependent on experience. This position offers a salary range between $45,000 - $65,000. Robust benefits package including health, dental, profit sharing, wellness reimbursement, and competitive bonus structure. Work will be done during normal business hours at our Portland office (9am - 5pm, M-F), with the possibility of some work outside of normal business hours.
