Digital Strategist

Position Details

The Digital Strategist role requires an individual who thrives when managing projects in a fast-paced, team-oriented, professional environment. This position is an opportunity to gain valuable experience in all aspects of digital political campaigns.

The Digital Strategist will specifically:

  • Manage day-to-day communications with clients and interface directly with partners and vendors as a representative of Winning Mark
  • Track and optimize digital campaign budgets
  • Implement and direct the execution of online advertising (social, search, display, video, audio, etc.) and email marketing campaigns
  • Draft, edit, and proof copy/scripts for social media, blogs, emails, websites, and videos
  • Watch trends, research opportunities, and suggest creative strategies to improve our work, help our clients, and benefit our business
  • Monitor campaign goals and meet deadlines and milestones accordingly

Below are the core duties of the position. In this position, you will receive ongoing training to help you develop the following skills:

  • Manage ad campaigns on various digital advertising platforms including: Facebook Business Manager, DSPs (e.g., Doubleclick Bid Manager, The TradeDesk, etc.) Google AdWords/TrueView, LinkedIn Ads, and Twitter for Business;
  • Master digital tools including: Google Suite, NGP VAN, EveryAction, Blue State Digital, ActBlue, PayPal, Salesforce and other CRMs, Basecamp, SquareSpace, WordPress and other CMS systems;
  • Create, implement, and monitor media budgets;
  • Record and analyze campaign metrics to ensure goals are reached;
  • Compose comprehensive data reports;

Experience working in a fast-paced, campaign atmosphere is a plus, and a commitment to periodically working long and irregular hours (including evenings and weekends) is a must. At the same time, we strive to promote balance in the workplace, including flexible hours and working remotely when appropriate. The ability to work well within this system, including as a good steward of a flexible work environment, is essential.

This will be a full-time, exempt position. Winning Mark offers competitive salary along with a robust benefits package including health, dental, wellness allotment, TriMet reimbursement, a fully stocked kitchen, staff meals, holiday pay, PTO, and cell phone bill payment. Work will be done during normal business hours at our Portland office (9am – 5pm, M-F), with some work outside of normal business hours.
